Hello again. We arrived in Rimini on Saturday, weather was a bit mixed, some rain and quite cloudy but warm. Hotel lovely and I am in love with the receptionist, he is so nice when we arrived he went to the bar and got me some cold water I must have looked like a dishevelled wreck, the whole town is messed up with road works so it was quite complicated to get to the hotel, however, it, is in a fabulous location, 5 minutes to the beach, all the beaches are privately owned so they are kept really clean. Rimini is nice and has an old fashioned feel to it, the people are very friendly and it is so flat you can walk for miles which we have. Food is great I have been here a week and have not eaten chicken yet, it appears to be mainly pork and beef in this region. I have had the obligatory ice cream and pizza which were both fabulous. Yesterday we caught the bus to San Marino which is a principality on its own, what a wonderful place, it is at the top of a mountain it is some hike, I only shut my eyes a couple of times. when we arrived we jumped on the tourist train that goes all round the scenic sights and drops you off at the cable car to take you to the top, we couldn't not go on. The view from the car is amazing. If you ever get the chance you must visit the place it is beautiful and so clean and for once prices were very fair. We had lunch there in a lovely little restaurant and the food was excellent. Arthur was in heaven all these fish dishes. I had lasagne and then pork milanaise. Very enjoyable day. The journey takes about an hour to San Marino. When we returned we quickly changed and headed out to the Luna Park as there was a festival on, I didn't go on the Ferris wheel. We then went to the Marina. Arthur as happy as a pig in you know what. All in all a fabulous day. We leave here on Wednesday and head to Pescara then on to Castellmare for 5 days.
